If you need to rebuild the songs list or Quick Find list you can pull the list down to rebuild.
For older versions:
As of 1.5 - 1.6x, if you add files via itunes etc... Press the rebuild button in the songs->all files.. menu to rescan and rebuild the list. This was added as of 1.5.
